BEND, OR – March 19, 2025 – Platformr has just released its latest Foundation update, with new optional capabilities for AWS Organization integrated services that centralize AWS account management—helping teams move faster while maintaining control and efficiency at scale. The capabilities enable the creation of centralized accounts for monitoring, backup, operations tooling, and centralized identity management across the AWS environment. The update also includes a tagging library for managing resource tags across services.

TAGGING LIBRARY
Identify, organize, and manage resources across different AWS services
- Track costs, enforce access control, and automate management
- Improve searchability, support compliance, and enable better governance of cloud resources
SECURITY
Centralize access for security operations and resources
- Enables key AWS security services—including AWS Security Hub, Amazon GuardDuty, Amazon Macie, Amazon Inspector, and more—by delegating them to dedicated Audit (primary security) and Log Archive (persistent log storage) accounts
- Improves security visibility, compliance, and operational efficiency across your AWS environment
IDENTITY
Ensure consistent and secure identity management
- Enables an isolated dedicated identity federation account to centralize user identities, access controls, and authentication policies, separate from all other management and workload activities
- Configures centralized root user management, eliminating the need for root users in member accounts
- Enhances security and operational efficiency by streamlining access management and authorization for integrated services like IAM Root User Management, AWS IAM Identity Center, and IAM Access Analyzer
NETWORK
Manage networking resources
- Enables seamless traffic routing between environments, including AWS accounts, on-premises infrastructure, and internet egress/ingress
- Allows network administrators to implement and enforce security measures, ensuring efficient and secure traffic flow while offering the flexibility to adapt to your organization’s evolving needs
MONITORING
Centralize resource and workload monitoring
- Creates a centralized aggregation point in the Infrastructure OU of your AWS Organization to ensure comprehensive visibility, operational insights, and compliance across your AWS environment
- Allows you to manage observability, consolidate logs, metrics, and alerts, and identify potential issues within infrastructure or application using AWS tools and services such as Amazon CloudWatch, Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus, Amazon Managed Grafana, and Amazon OpenSearch
OPERATIONS TOOLING
Maintain efficiency, compliance, and reliability
- Manage operational tasks, standardize processes, and ensure the correct tools, configurations, and automation are available across your organization
- Use Operations Tooling accounts for day-to-day operational activities and to host tools, dashboards, and services needed for centralizing operations where monitoring and metric tracking are hosted
BACKUP
Orchestrate, monitor, and enforce backup policies
- Creates a dedicated account for backup and disaster recovery management as the central hub for managing backup operations across AWS accounts within your AWS Organization
- Eliminates the need to configure and maintain backup settings separately in each member account, streamlining operational efficiency and reducing the potential for errors
SHARED SERVICES
Ensure correct versions, services, and templates are consistently available
- Enables efficient service sharing while maintaining governance and standardization across your cloud environment
