Over the years, the team has deployed hundreds of AWS Landing Zone and Control Tower environments for its customers, using an internal automated process built to handle exactly this kind of deployment.
Hundreds of environments, no way to keep them current without adding headcount
That process worked well at small scale. But as PTP’s footprint grew into the hundreds of deployments, the underlying code started to drift out of date across customer environments. Updating each one individually wasn’t sustainable, and it raised a pointed question: how do you manage hundreds of Landing Zone and Control Tower deployments without adding a lot of headcount?

PTP was introduced to Platformr at an AWS Well-Architected event. What stood out was the ability to use Platformr across all of PTP’s customer accounts, not just its own, to manage Landing Zone and Control Tower environments in one place.
PTP started with a pilot across about 10 customers, deploying Platformr into their accounts and using it to manage those environments directly.

Platformr enabled PTP to upgrade hundreds of older AWS Landing Zone deployments to the most current release, with very few resources required to do it.
A pilot that proved the model
PTP’s team managed its first 10 customers on Platformr with a very limited number of resources, well before the tool reached full production. It was an encouraging early signal that the model would hold at scale.
