Introducing the Platformr Optics MCP Server: Evaluate Any AWS Organization from Your AI Assistant

Your AWS Organizations now speaks AI. Platformr customers can now connect Claude or Kiro directly to their Platformr Organizations with the Platformr Optics MCP Server.

Add the server to your AI assistant, sign in with your existing Platformr account, and start working with your AWS environments in plain English. No new credentials, no new console, no new tab.

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard for connecting AI models to real systems. The Optics MCP Server uses it to bring Platformr’s security evaluations, resource discovery, and Foundation management into the AI tools your engineers already have open. Here’s what you can do with it, and how to get started.

Evaluate Any Number of AWS Organizations from One Chat

The Optics MCP Server is multi-organization aware from the start. From a single chat session, you can:

List every Platformr Organization you belong to.

Switch context with a single request.

Run a Platformr security evaluation against each one.

Track progress and pull scored results the moment they land.

For an MSP managing a dozen customer AWS Organizations, a posture review across the entire customer base becomes a conversation instead of a week of console hopping.

Find Any Resource Across Your Subscribed AWS Organizations

Ask a question about your environment and get a direct answer, with the context you need to act on it.

Ask the Optics MCP Server

Which workload owns account 1234-5678-9012, and is it production?

Show me every Lambda function tagged Environment=Production in this account.

The first returns the owning workload instantly. The second comes back with tags, regions, and last-seen times. Need the full configuration of a security group, bucket policy, or function runtime? Ask for that too.

Behind the scenes, the server resolves accounts to workloads, maps accounts to organizational units, searches resources organization-wide, and fetches detailed configuration on demand. It does all of this through Platformr’s read-only access across your subscribed AWS Organization.

Manage Your Foundation and Workloads, Including Import

Review before you deploy

Your Platformr Foundation and workload configuration is now reachable from your assistant. Review saved Foundation, Security, and Backup module settings before you deploy them, and check the latest status of any Foundation, module, or workload deployment.

Get to the root cause of a failed deployment

When a deployment fails, ask why. The server reads the build logs and surfaces the failed stack and the relevant error, so you’re not scrolling through thousands of lines to find it.

Create workloads and import existing AWS Organizations

Create or update workloads conversationally. When onboarding an existing AWS Organization, import what you already have: run Inquisition to discover your organization structure, then let your assistant pre-populate your Foundation from the evaluation data and walk you through only the fields that are missing.

“

Import used to be a form. Now it’s a dialogue.

Evaluate Any AWS Organization for Free

We’ve gone one step further. Anyone can now evaluate any number of AWS Organizations for free, with no Platformr subscription required, without ever leaving Claude or Kiro.

1

Create a free evaluation Platformr Organization for each AWS Organization

2

Generate the connection script

3

Run Inquisition

4

Kick off the security evaluation

When the results land, the evaluation data is yours. Pull it into whatever reporting process you already use, from board decks and customer QBRs to your own BI pipelines and risk registers.

Onboarding that used to be a guided session is now self-serve, in the tool your engineers already have open.

From Evaluation to Interactive Dashboards

Customers are already putting this to work. Teams run evaluations across multiple AWS Organizations in one session, then ask their AI agent to build interactive dashboards straight from the results: scores by organization, findings by workload, and deployment health across every customer, rendered live in the chat.

No export, no BI tool, no waiting on a report. Platformr supplies the data, the agent builds the visualization, and the result is a shareable dashboard in minutes.

Why It Matters for AI Operations

By exposing Platformr through MCP, your security, governance, and FinOps data becomes a first-class data source for any agent you run, whether that’s an engineer in Claude, a developer in Kiro, or an automated workflow of your own.
